Fifth Third Bank traces its origins to the Bank of the Ohio Valley, which opened its doors in Cincinnati in 1858. The bank has weathered economic challenges and evolved through strategic mergers to become one of the most respected financial institutions in the United States.

The name "Fifth Third" is derived from the 1908 merger of Third National Bank and Fifth National Bank, resulting in the Fifth-Third National Bank of Cincinnati. Despite the unusual name, it reflects our heritage and unique journey in the financial industry.

Today, Fifth Third Bank operates over 1,100 full-service banking centers and 2,500 ATMs across 11 states, serving millions of customers with innovative financial solutions and personalized service.

Third National Bank
